ProWorks was founded in 1986 to market a graphing tool for the agriculture industry created by President Gary Prothero. Since then, we have grown into a nationally recognized corporation specializing in the development of innovative data visualization software.
A privately held corporation, ProWorks Corporation is based in Corvallis, Oregon. Gary Prothero remains the President. Susan Prothero serves as both owner and Vice President of Operations.

Gary Prothero is a thoroughly experienced IT service provider with thirty years of technical and management experience in software development. He has built custom software for critical consulting projects and commercial-off-the-shelf software products. Within the past ten years Gary has served as the Technical Lead for large scale data reporting and visualization projects delivered to NASA.
Jason Prothero has over 10 years of professional software development, testing, and project management experience. He has served as a senior developer for ProWorks’ on important contracts and commercial software development. Jason is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is familiar with a wide variety of Microsoft technologies and tools including .NET, SQL, PHP, ASP.NET, jQuery, and various Content Management Systems. He is active in helping to organize Ignite Corvallis, helped found the Corvallis .NET Users Group, and is on the SAO Corvallis Board. He blogs on the ProWorks Blog as “Jason” and can be found on Twitter (@protherj).
Rob Birdwell has 15 years of experience designing and developing software tools and solutions for a wide variety of clients and applications. As an early adopter of .NET technology, Rob’s technology stack expertise includes Visual Studio.NET, C# and VB.NET. Rob has co-authored technical books on ASP.NET, C# and VB.NET.
Loyan has 7 years of professional experience in the software industry. He has executed software testing, conducted user studies, collected requirements, written technical documentation and provided technical support and training. Loyan possesses a working knowledge of VB.NET, HTML and ASP.NET.
Alan is a graphic designer with 3 years of professional experience as a web designer. With ProWorks he is responsible for optimizing web designs for aesthetics and user functionality. Alan has designed user interfaces, web page templates, style sheets and graphical elements for ProWorks own commercial websites and for consulting projects. Alan’s technical skills include Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop.
